WHAT IS A ROOT CANAL TREATMENT?

Root canal procedure is the removal of the tooth’s pulp, a small, thread-like tissue nerve in the center of the tooth. Once the damaged, diseased or dead pulp is removed, the remaining space is cleaned, shaped, and filled. This procedure seals off the root canal.

WHEN AND WHY IS A ROOT CANAL TREATMENT NEEDED?

It is needed when a tooth is deeply damaged, and is paining, or infected such as abscess, then RCT is most important and the only treatment to save the tooth.

In simple terms, it is a procedure to remove pain from a tooth and saves the tooth to make it functional.

Types of braces

Metal braces

These are the oldest braces made up of metal brackets and wire of high-quality stainless steel. Once installed the patient has to be very careful with what and how they eat. Patients with braces are strictly prescribed to avoid eating gums or caramel that sticks to the brackets. Furthermore, the patient should avoid eating stiff food that may result in the dislodgment of the bracket.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are basically white or transparent and an alternative to unpleasant-looking metal braces. They have tooth-colored brackets that camouflaged with the teeth and are of the same size and shape as metal brackets. They are expensive as compared to traditional metal braces.

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are the same as metal braces, these are custom made and are bonded behind the teeth (lingual side) and stay out of focus. A skillful orthodontist can only install them.

Clear aligners Braces

Unlike other forms of braces, INVISALIGN is nothing but a series of 15-30 custom-made mouth guard-like translucent removable plastic aligners. These aligners are replaced after every 2-3 weeks.

They are the most comfortable braces and easy to wear. These are expensive as compare to other forms of braces. Furthermore, this treatment may take a longer time as compared to others.
